Domain Name Mapping

I have bought a domain name with another company and set the servers pointing towards WordPress. However, when I try to Map my domain in WordPress I am redirected to an annual subscription page charging £85. It was my understanding mapping was less costly than this.

Domains are no longer available for purchase or mapping individually. They are included with WordPress.com Premium. This change has been made as we work to offer the best combination of value and performance for users while still offering a completely free product for those who do not wish to purchase any upgrades.
A great way to go if you are not interested in WordPress.com Premium is to look into setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through a hosting provider such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Pressable.
