Domain name of my Organistion used by someone else

  I am a founding member of TILS Law Review and used to have a blog but then due to some issues, we suspended it and now I checked, someone else, not part of our team and no one I know, has registered the blog tilslawreview.wordpress.com
  Now I can’t contact that person nor do I know who s/he is so is there anyway I can get the blog address as I am an official member and founding member and also the media head thus have authority. Whoever that person is has no affiliation with the organisation and is using the address without the organisations consent. And I am out of option for another name.

  Check out http://www.uspto.gov/
  That is the OFFICIAL website for patents and trademarks. On that website, you can search for trademarks, and even see ones that are “pending”.
  There is also a section on trademark availability vs. “.com” address registration. They say it is not the same thing:

  Te person with the username account who registered that blog has posted nothing so alleging they are impersonating anyone would be off base. If you believe you may have registered that site your there is a process for account recovery you can use.

  Thanks. Yes they haven’t and nope, none of our members did and the issue was that I wanted that name as it’s the official one so will have to look for another one now. But thanks for the response. :)

  There is an open comment form on that site’s About page. You could try leaving a comment there and see if they will transfer ownership of the site to you.
