Domain Name released from Word Press for purchase elsewhere

    I purchased a basic plan with a domain and then decided not to use Word Press and cancelled it the next day. I have been refunded my money but want to know when the domain name I chose will be released, for purchase?

    Hi there,

    Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. Only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.

    In this case your domain, janetolsonhealing.com, is no longer in our control, but has already been deleted at the registry. That means it should be available to register again within the next few days, but anyone will be able to register it, so someone might buy it before you are able to. We also cannot guarantee that it will be released, as that’s up to the registry to decide.
