Domain Name Renwal Error

    Hi. I am trying to renew my domain name which didn’t automatically renew as it was supposed to.

    I go to Domains > Checkout > Renew Subscription. After ‘Submitting Payment’ in the top right corner, the status changes from blue to red saying ‘The “ First Name ” field is required.’ I’d really like to renew my domain name asap please if you could help?

    Hi there,

    Hi. I am trying to renew my domain name which didn’t automatically renew as it was supposed to.

    We received a Paypal error when processing payment. The transaction has been declined by the bank that issued your credit card. This can happen for a variety of reasons, although we’re not able to see why. Some of the reasons are:

    * Credit Card hasn’t been activated yet

    * Closed credit card account
    * Account is over the limit
* Account is past due
    
* Automated fraud alert

    The last reason above, an automated fraud prevention block, is the most common. Usually you just need to call your bank and let them know you want to make a purchase on WordPress.com, and they can get the block removed right away.

    In regards to your domain, I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore Elliottp.me to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

    I will let you know once I hear back from the registrar.
