Domain name still not free
-
Hi everyone.
I’m sorry by advance for my bad english and I hope someone here could help me.
I’ve open an account on WP.com more than two monthes ago to launch a website and I bought a domain name, hommagecollateral.net. But I did not recognize the admin. I understood that it was WP.org that I needed, not WP.com.
So I asked to be reimbursed, I opened a WordPress.org account and I waited for the 60 days necessary for a new order of the domain name.
But it seems that the one I bought at the time is still not available. I followed the procedure. Going back to my abandoned WP.com account, I find that there is no other domain name associated with it. So I do not understand the situation.
If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it.
Thanks a lot.

Hi there,
The 60 day period refers to domain transfers. So if you KEEP a domain, you can transfer it after 60 days. But if you cancel a domain it takes anything from five days to more than a year before the domain is available again.
The domain, hommagecollateral.net, will not be available again until after it expires in April 2018.
However, I can still restore that domain, and then you should be able to transfer it. Please confirm if I should do that.

Okay, I have restored your domain. You can follow these instructions to transfer it to a different provider:
