Domain name transfer
-
Our organization recently adopted WildApricot for membership management, and would like to transfer our domain name to the new site. We would like to maintain our subscription to WordPress for domain registration, though.
WildApricot has some instructions on how to make the transfer at https://gethelp.wildapricot.com/en/articles/545-custom-domain-setup , but accessing the Domains section of the WordPress interface I am still unsure how to make this change. Searching the WordPress documentation, I found this page about domains: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/setting-custom-a-records/ . Are the guidelines that it provides about adding an A record the best way to make this update? The only previous forum string on this topic (https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/dns-records-for-wildapricotorg/) did not include many details.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Looking at that documentation, it looks like you need to set two CNAME records, one A record, and one TXT record.
To update those for cimarchivists.org, you would do so under the domain management page, click to expand the “DNS Records” section, then click the “Manage” button to access the domain settings.
Then, click the “Add a Record” button in the upper right of the screen, and enter the information you need to for each record according to WildApricot’s instructions. You’ll need to do this four times in total to create each custom record.
You can read more about custom DNS records here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/custom-dns/
I hope that helps!
