Hi,
We need help because we need to transfer a domain name into management at WORDPRESS for a buyout. But we don’t know which account is linked to this domain name, so how to do ?

What is the address of the domain? I want to first make sure it is hosted with WordPress.com. Then, I could see what we could do to contact the current owner.

Hi there,
That domain belongs to a different WordPress.com account than the one you’re using to post here. Only the account that owns that domain can transfer it to another account, or to another domain provider.
For security reasons we cannot give you details regarding the account that owns that domain, so if you don’t remember which account you used to buy that domain, please submit our account recovery form:
If you registered that domain you should have email receipts for past payments on the domain and renewal reminder emails sent to both the WordPress.com account email and the domain contact email addresses, so check all the email addresses you own for those to determine the email address used for the account in question.
You should also be able to find transaction IDs to verify your ownership by looking at records for past payments on either your credit card statement or your PayPal account, whichever method was used to pay for the domain.
