  I have a friend who has a wordpress site here. I recently purchased a domain name for her at my domain provider, 1&1.com I know want to transfer that to her but she dosn’t know what she need to do on this end.

  We do not accept incoming domain transfers, but your friend could point the domain’s nameservers from your current hosting provider at 1&1 to WordPress.com. Our support page will guide you through the process of pointing your domain’s nameservers to us:
