Domain Needed, But Not In Use

Hello! We were charged for the domain corbettpricecpa.com. However we only need the domain for forwarding/routing emails, but not for the actual website as we have rebranded and created a new website. Given this situation, would we still need to pay for the domain with WordPress eventhough we are not currently using the website for anything other than routing emails?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey there,

I see that corbettpricecpa.com is linked to a different WordPress.com account than the one you are contacting us from. To confirm ownership, could you log into that account?

I see that the account is also subscribed to the Business Plan which gives you access to our live chat support. I would recommend starting a chat with one of our Happiness Engineers and they would be more than happy to walk you through some of the options you have in regards to the domain and email:

If you’re only using the domain for email and not using the site, then the $300 a year Business Plan would not be needed. So, I would definitely encourage you to log into the owner’s account and discuss this further with our staff.

    Thanks!
