Domain not forwarding?
-
Hello,
I previously bought my domain (www.cheeptips.com) from GoDaddy, but recently switched it to WordPress. Unfortunately, instead of forwarding that domain to my main http://www.cheepitup.com url, currently http://www.cheeptips.com appears as a GoDaddy error page.
Can you fix this problem as I bought this domain and mapping service through WordPress?
Thanks,
Jessica

I tried that twice. I also tried different browsers, and a few other computers. It’s all coming up as that GoDaddy error page. Are you sure you don’t see that error page at http://www.cheeptips.com?

The error page at your domain mentions the following, “This domain name expired on 03/10/2012 and is pending renewal or deletion.”
I recommend contacting GoDaddy ASAP.

But I bought the domain with mapping just recently through WordPress, which is why I am contacting you.
Thanks,
Jessica

The domain that you registered with us is cheepitup.com
cheeptips.com is only mapped here. It’s still registered through GoDaddy.

I thought that function purchased it too. Can I buy/register the domain through WordPress? I kind of hate GoDaddy.

You can, but they’ll need to release the domain first. Once a domain expires, it becomes the property of the registrar. In this case, you can either renew it through GoDaddy now or wait for them to release it to the public market, which can take up to 90 days.
