Domain ownership

  Hi, if I purchase a domain along with a monthly subscription, would I be the owner of the domain, or would it be wordpress? Should I decide to transfer my domain out to a different registrar, would there be charges?

  If you purchase a custom domain as part of one of our plans, that domain name belongs to you.

  The ICANN has some rules on transfering domains, and you would have to wait for 60 days after purchasing a domain name before you could transfer it out.

  During that time though, you could point the domain nameservers to a different hosting service if you needed to do that before the 60 days were up.
