  Hi, I have purchased a domain through GoDaddy for 5 years. To set up my website, I have the option to transfer my domain or connect it. For the transfer option it says the domain is free for one year. However, I have purchased it for 5 years already. How does this work? Will I be charged again year 2 for a domain I already own?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  When you transfer the domain to use, we’ll add an additional year to it, so that will bring it up to 6 years, and you won’t be charged again until after that.
