Domain Problems

My organisation’s domain expired, and I’m really battling to renew it. But here’s the weird thing: although WordPress claims to own the domain, it’s still registered in our name – and we’re still paying the bill for that registration! We’ve now been locked out of FTP access to the site, so even if we want to move the site completely off WordPress, we can’t upload anything because (according to our hosting admin) WordPress is claiming nameserver rights.

    Can anybody help?

All we want is to be able to upload a site (we’ll build a completely new one if we have to!) to the domain that we own.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • glsa23.co.za is not registered through WordPress.com.

There is an expired domain mapping upgrade for glsa23.co.za. Domain Mapping is the upgrade you would purchase if you wanted to use a domain registered elsewhere (GoDaddy or 1and1 for example) with your WordPress.com site.

But I’m afraid you will need to talk to your domain registrar to change your nameservers.
