Domain propogation still hasn't registered after 72 hours

Hi there, I initiated the domain name mapping service for 5inabus.com and altered the dns servers at my host end as per the instructions. I then waited 72 hours but the website still doesn’t appear to have taken effect although propogation has occurred as verified by my host. the wordpress domain mapping help page still says the DNS servers for 5inabus.com are still pointing to littleoak – but they aren’t, they are pointing to wordpress. can you please tell me how else I can resolve this issue? I have cleared cache etc so and tried form different browsers, isp’s and computers. any other suggestions? thanks!

Hi there,
It looks like your domain registrar didn’t remove the old name servers for your domain, and those old name servers are causing trouble when you try to view your WordPress.com site at that domain. You can see the issue in this DNS check for your domain:
http://dnscheck.pingdom.com/?domain=5inabus.com
Can you please check with your domain registrar about those DNS errors? Once those are resolved, your domain should be pointed correctly to WordPress.com.

Hi there, this is the response I got from my host:
When doing a dig on the name servers for the site they do display as pointing to wordpress.com. The issue cannot be on our end if the name servers are pointing to them. http://www.digwebinterface.com/?hostnames=5inabus.com&type=NS&ns=resolver&useresolver=8.8.4.4&nameservers=
can you please help any further? I have paid for the service and waited more than a week – but each one says the problem is on the other side. Thanks!

I checked your domain again, and this time the DNS looks fine from my end. I was also able to visit your WordPress.com site at your domain here: http://5inabus.com/
The issue with the name servers that we saw last week is resolved, so everything is working as expected now. Can you please let me know if you’re still having trouble seeing your site at your domain?

hi there, thanks for getting back to me – yes indeed it is fine now – my host is really not very helpful. I had to use your links to “prove” to them it was at their end before they would take a closer look, and once they did then they said – oh, yes – there’s an error. Ggrrrr! Thanks so much!
