Domain purchasing and hosting

  I’m confused about the whole domain process. Do you purchase like a plan here then you have the domain hosted here on WordPress? Or do you have to find an outside hosting site? I’m on a tight budget so I not want to pay twice just for a website. I looked at web hosting sites so I know how crazy it’ll cost me. Please let me know asap on this issue. Thanks.

  We’re a fully hosted service, so once you have a site here, it’s hosted here.

  If you were to host WordPress elsewhere, you’d use the software from https://wordpress.org/

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
