  Hey! So I am starting a cake business called ‘Curly Girls Cake World.’ I seems that the domain https://curlygirlscakeworld.wordpress.com/ is in use, but that the user has nothing on that page. Is there any way that WordPress can expire that account for inactivity? And since I will be paying to upgrade and choose the domain. Also, is there any way to pay to have the ‘.wordpress’ excluded from the domain?

  Hi there,

  Since you are interested in registering a custom domain for your site, the WordPress.com address you choose isn’t as relevant. When you set your custom domain as your primary domain, visitors won’t be able to see the .wordpress.com address. So, since curlygirlscakeworld.wordpress.com is already taken, you can choose something similar such as curlygirlscakeworld2019.wordpress.com, but it is only will be used if you do not have a custom domain connected to your WordPress.com site.

  You can register a domain via a paid plan.
