  I registered my Domain name with Godaddy.com and choose Hosting at wordpress.com through Godaddy website, do I need to transfer domain name to publish my site

  The WordPress hosting plan you bought from GoDaddy is to host the open source WordPress.org software on GoDaddy.com’s servers. That is something completely different from WordPress.com.

  We’re a hosting provider, like GoDaddy, and your site is not hosted with us, so you don’t need to transfer anything to us.

  You can contact GoDaddy support directly for help installing the WordPress software on their servers.

  You can get help for that version of WordPress from the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
