domain registration inverting price ?

    Hello,

I have a question about the domain registration .
Did you make a mistake (an inversion) by inverting the two price of registration and mapping ?
“Domain name registration plus domain mapping costs €15.00 (€11.00 for mapping, €4.00 for registration) per year, per domain.”

Because you are not a registrar, domain registration is more expensive than a simple DNS mapping.

So for me, the real price should be 4€ for mapping & 11€ for domain registration
Or actually it’s a marketing operation for promote the wordpress.com domain and discourage self domain, but it’s not clear ?

    Thanks in advance

Best regards and thanks a lot for your amazing great open source blog

  • That is the way we have it priced. I suppose it can be viewed as a marketing decision.
