Domain release / mapping

    I have a domain that was registered by my former site admin on a DreamHost account. I want to use that domain to point to my WP site. How do I go about transferring/releasing the domain name so that I can use it for my WP site?

    Hi there,

    We do not accept incoming domain transfers, but you could point the domain’s nameservers from your current hosting provider DreamHost to WordPress.com. So you’ll need to renew the registration with DreamHost or transfer the domain to another host that accepts incoming domain transfers.
