Domain Renewal

  I would like to renew my domain with you http://www.businesstelecomaudit.com. It was part of the Premium Plan the I purchased from you for two years. It comes up for renewal but I only want to keep the URL as I am going to host it elsewhere. There is nowhere I can find to simply renew the domain individually. Please advise. Thanks- Dan Olmstead

  Hello Shawna, thanks for the timely response. A few quick questions 1st. What does it cost per year to keep the domain only. I know industry standard is approx. $15. Also, when you “remove the Premium Plan”, will I still have access to to the website as-is until it’s expiration on the 9th of this month? I am aware it reverts back to wordpress.businesstelecomaudit.com. If it will be active until the 9th, please cancel the Premium plan so we can renew just the domain.

  Hi Danny!

  Renewing the domain with private registration is $26/year. Without the private registration it’s $18/year.

  Even after the Premium plan is gone, you’ll still have access to your site. It will not revert to telecomaudit.wordpress.com unless you let your domain expire.

  Here’s what will change when you cancel the rest of the Premium plan:

  • Small ads will be displayed at the bottom of your posts
  • Your colors will revert to the default colors for your theme.
  • You won’t be able to upload audio or video files.

  If you’d like to keep the Premium plan active until the 9th do the following to disable auto renewal on the parts you don’t want:

  1. Go to Store > My Upgrades. Select ‘Cancel’ under your Premium plan.
  2. Follow the directions to confirm the cancellation.
  3. Head back to Store > My Upgrades and select ‘Disable Auto Renew’ under every upgrade except your domain.

  I disabled the auto-renew a few months ago. I do not see where I can renew the URL? Thanks…

  Hello Shawna- I cancelled the Premium plan. I now want to renew the domain without the Private Registration for businesstelecomaudit.com. It does not give me an option to remove the private registration charge. I do not want private registration. Want to renew for $18 for the year. Please advise. Thanks much.

  Hi there!

  You can cancel Private Registration through your Dashboard at Store > My Upgrades.

  Under your domain registration, click on “Cancel Private Registration.”
