domain renewal?

    Hello, I was told I didn’t need to do anything to be able to continue to use my account but then was sent a reminder to renew my domain (which I bought from UK2) on the same day? Please could you review my last chat transcript and clarify? Thank you

    Your domain was not registered through WordPress.com, it was just mapped here. Domain Mapping is the upgrade you would purchase if you wanted to use a domain registered elsewhere (GoDaddy or 1and1 for example) with your WordPress.com site.

    So if you are getting a renewal notice from your domain registrar, then you should absolutely pay attention to it and renew before it expires.

    But to confirm, your Domain Mapping upgrade here at WordPress.com is canceled.
