Domain renewed on GoDaddy saying its expired on WordPress?
-
WordPress is saying my domain is expired – this is incorrect, I renewed it through GoDaddy and the name servers still point to WordPress – what do I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your domain mapping upgrades have expired. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Ok thanks!
Also, the ‘A.L.’ user that set up the site is no longer with us – can we remove her from the account and make sure I am an admin for everything?
Thanks

No. You cannot remove the blog’s sole owner.
Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. You need to contact the blog’s owner and have her/him act on this. Here’s the required information to pass along.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them or transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.
To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.
Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.
adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
After the blog has been transferred Staff can transfer the upgrade(s).

How can I make this more clear? AL, who opened the blog, is not on speaking terms with me any more. It is MY website. MINE! What do I need to do to re-gain the proper ownership of MY site???? I was never notified of an expiration etc… The domain names I ordered through Go Daddy and have kept them current.
Thank you
P.S. I can’t imagine that no one else has had this issue before. This being my first web site, I let someone, who I thought I could trust, handle things. -
I’m so sorry that the situation is what it is. Take a deep breath please and understand that what I posted is the correct answer to your question.

I understand, but this does not put me at ease – what you are saying is that A.L. has the power to purchase and cancel services on my website, that is not ok.
Can I cancel the site and move it to another blog? There must be something you can do, I am losing business

As I said above I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Note that this blog http://k9companionla.wordpress.com/ has zero content.
Oh no! 2 domains from this blog have expired!
Unfortunately you cannot access this blog from caninecompanionla.com and k9companionla.com any more. These domain names started expiring on Thursday, June 19, 2014 and will soon be canceled.
Please contact the owners of this website and remind them to renew these domains before it’s too late. They need your help!
Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to view the content of this blog at this web address: lindagrunfeld.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
The blog that you mentioned is owned by a different WordPress.com user, who also owns the domain mapping upgrades for the blog. The blog’s current owner can choose to transfer ownership to another WordPress.com user.
WordPress.com staff isn’t able to make changes to a blog’s ownership or to active upgrades on a blog without confirmation from the user who owns the blog or blog upgrades.
However, since those domain mapping upgrades are expired, I’ve removed them from the blog. That means you’re welcome to create a new blog and map your domains to that new blog with this guide: Map an Existing Domain
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any questions about that.
