  Hi I purchased http://www.henrybrantdesign.com through wordpress but decided to change platform so cancelled my subscription.I am trying to transfer it to my squarespace site but it is unavailable and i can’t see it anywhere in my wordpress account.

  Hi there,

  When you cancel a domain, you stop owning it. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  In this case the simplest option is to wait – the domain should be released in another few days, at which point you can register it directly with Squarespace.

  Otherwise we can also still restore the domain to your account, but as you’ve already been refunded you’ll first need to pay for it again, and you won’t be able to transfer it away from us to Squarespace until you’ve owned it for at least 60 days.

  Let us know if you’d prefer to restore the domain immediately.
