Domain status – clientTransferProhibited

Hi, my domain expired before I got around to doing anything about it, there was no time for it unfortunately and now it can’t be transferred to a new hosting other than wordpress because the transfer feature is disabled, it can’t be unlocked for transfer, transfer lock off doesn’t work either. How do I unlock my domain and how do I arrange to register it with a provider other than wordpress?

Hi there!
There’s a grace period after a domain expires, during which you can still transfer the domain. However, your domain is currently in a stage where it can’t be transferred anymore.
Please note: If you don’t renew the domain yet, it will soon enter the redemption period. It costs $80 + the redemption fee to restore a domain from that stage.
With that in mind, since you want to continue to use the domain, I recommend renewing the domain as soon as possible. You’ll be able to transfer the domain after renewing or closer to the expiry date next year.
