  Hi there, I am very new to WordPress and am looking at setting up an account but I got to the screen where I have to move my domain registration from GoDaddy to WordPress or keep with GoDaddy and I am wondering if I keep it with GoDaddy for now, is it possible to switch it to WordPress at a later date?

  Yes :) This is a very common question. Go ahead and build your new site on WordPress.com. Import your content, customize the theme, get it all ready to launch.

  Keeping the new site private will help prevent any SEO confusion since you’re going to have the same content on two different addresses.

  There’s 2 ways to connect the domain. Either will work fine.
