Domain Transfer

  Hi,

  Please someone help me, I forgot to update my DNS before making the domain transfer to a new registar. It’s been 4 days now and still not a successful transfer.

  Now I am stuck with, my website is down, my business is down.

  micaritafeliz.com is pending transfer. You must wait for the transfer to finish, and then update the settings at the new registrar.

  Please someone help me with this, I need to have my domain with my new registar and hosting company to get my website back to normal.

  Is there anything I can do?

  Hi there,

  There’s nothing we can do here. Once a domain transfer starts the domain is locked to all changes. This happens at the registry who controls the particular domain extension, and we as your domain provider have no way to bypass this.

  Once the domain transfer completes in another few days, you’ll be able to make the necessary changes at your new domain provider. Domain transfers typically take around a week to complete.

  A week without my business is horrific to say the least. Never will I recommend wordpress.com as a domain provider.

  Hi there,

  It usually takes a week for a transfer to complete and that’s common on all registrars not only on WordPress.com. This is the time needed for all the changes to propagate all around the internet for the domain to be properly working.
