  If I transfer domains what happens to all of my content hosted at other site? Does it transfer to new site?

  Hi there,

  If you transfer a domain to us, that’s all that will transfer – the domain registration.

  Any content you currently have hosted on that domain at another hosting provider will remain hosted on their servers, but you won’t be able to access it any more, as your domain will no longer be connected to that site.

  If you want to migrate an existing site to us, you must first migrate your content. You can either migrate the content only using a standard WordPress export, or you can transfer the entire site, including the theme and any plugins, if you upgrade your new WordPress.com site to our Business Plan:

  Transferring the domain to us should be the last step, and you only do that once you’re sure all your content has been transferred, and you’re ready to take the old site offline.
