  Is it true I have to wait 90 days to get my domain name back?

  Canceled domains go through various steps before they are finally released so yes, you may need to wait a couple of months before you can register the domain again.

  If your idea was to use the domain with another site, you should have transferred it instead. Since you didn’t receive a refund after canceling the domain, we may still be able to recover it back to your account, although an additional $80 fee may be required:
