Domain Transfer

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello. I transferred my ktbf.org domain, but it hasn’t been approved yet. It also doesn’t appear in my WordPress account’s domain section. Where is my domain? Can you help me? I want the transfer to be approved.

It appears that the domain registration has been extended until 2024 on ICANN, but it is not currently active in the location where I want to transfer it. Please help.

    My problem is here.

Retrieving Administrative Contact Email We are looking up the Administrative Contact’s email for this domain so we can send the transfer verification email. If this status shows for more than 15 minutes, it may mean that your registrar is masking your details in WHOIS making retrieval of your email address impossible. If this is the case, please contact your registrar to have WHOIS masking removed.

  • Hi there,

Firstly, I completely understand your concerns and am here to help. I checked your account and found out that your domain is currently in a 60-day transfer lock. This is due to a recent update you made to the contact information associated with the domain. ICANN, the governing body for domain registrations, has a policy in place where any significant changes made to domain contact details will initiate a 60-day lock to ensure the security and integrity of the domain registration. This is a standard policy followed by all domain registrars, including WordPress.com.

Based on this policy, your domain will be eligible for transfer after December 9. I know waiting isn’t ideal, and I appreciate your patience. In the interim, even if the domain is with us, you can still use it with a site hosted elsewhere. You can achieve this by updating the DNS records for your domain. Here’s a handy guide on how to do that: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/change-name-servers/

Additionally, it’s important to note that your domain appears to have expired a day ago. It’s crucial to renew it as soon as possible to ensure you retain ownership and don’t face any disruptions. If a domain isn’t renewed promptly, there’s a risk of losing it.

I hope this clarifies things for you. Please let me know if you have any other questions or if there’s anything else I can assist you with.
