Domain transfer

  Hi I want to transfer my domain to WP, but have to wait another 2 months. In the meantime I want to map the domain, but not have to pay for a whole year, since I’m moving it to WP soon anyway.
  What’s best to do in this case?

  I don’t think it will make any difference as either mapping or transferring a domain to a WordPress.com site involves purchasing an upgraded plan. You can map the domain initially and transfer it if you wish when the 60 days have elapsed. (Of course it would have been simpler to buy the domain here at WordPress.com in the first place).
