  Hi, I would like to ask about domain transfer. I have about 45 domains and I would like to transfer 1 of them to WordPress to start with. Currently, it’s registered with GoDaddy and expires in 2021. After I transfer the domain, will you extend it by an other year until 2022 and charge me £15 per year thereafter? Could you please explain how the domain transfer work.

  That is correct. Transferring the domain to us will also extend the domain for another year.

  You will need a WordPress.com site with a paid plan in order to transfer a domain to us. The plan allows you to transfer one domain for free, while you can transfer additional domains at the standard retail cost.

  From the second year the first domain (which was transferred for free) will also renew at standard retail cost.

  The exact cost of the domain renewal will depend on the TLD – some domains are more expensive than others. You can see our prices for all the TLDs we support for transfer here:
