Domain transfer after domain mapping

    Hi. I would like to know f I can transfer my domain name to wordpress after domain mapping. I would love to benefit from Extends registration by one year feature by you. Would you please let me know if this is possible for me ? Can I domain map my domain now and transfer to word press later?

    You can add mapping and then only transfer later, yes.

    I’m not sure what you’re referring to here – we have no feature by that name on WordPress.com.

    When you transfer a domain the domain is automatically renewed for an additional year, but it makes no difference when you transfer the domain: If your domain is currently registered at your current provider until, for example, 5 May 2020, it will be registered until 5 May 2021 after a transfer to us is completed. This is how domain transfers work – the receiving domain provider will always renew the domain for one year upon completion of the transfer.
