Domain transfer, but shows like domain expired
-
Dear all,
I have just transfer my custom domain (oscarcastedo.com) from WordPress.com to Namecheap, and completed on august 24th. The website hosting is still under WordPress.com (no changes on it)
I received the confirmation from Namecheap that the transfer is completed and also from WordPress.com that the transfer has been executed. However, currently I face some issues with this. It seems like the domain oscarcastedo.com is not available but it’s expired. How does it possible?
Should I change something else?
Thank you so much in advance.

Hi Oscar,
So it looks like your domain name: oscarcastedo.com is registered under enom as seen here:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=oscarcastedo.com
However, the domain mapping has expired (this allows you to point domains registered elsewhere to WordPress.com).
Please go to Store > My Upgrades to renew the domain mapping.
Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Hi Grace,
thank you for your response.
So you mean that, although I transfer my domain (oscarcastedo.com) to another provider (namecheap in this case) and keep the hosting under wordpress.com, I would need to renew the domain mapping service for your hosting (this is 13 USD, right).
Thank you in advance.

Hi Oscar,
Please make sure you own the domain: oscarcastedo.com because when I looked up the domain it was registered under eNom, not NameCheap:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=oscarcastedo.com
If you are the owner of the domain then yes, please log into your WordPress.com account, and go to Store > My Upgrades in your Dashboard. There will be a link to renew the domain mapping.
