Domain transfer or map?

    Domain is currently with Godaddy. Using it with Shopify e-commerce which expires in July. Will then move to word-press. But I would like to get started on a blog. Which options are best for me? Should I just start with a blog and then move e-commerce to WordPress in July?

    Hi there,

    If you want to continue running an online store on the new WordPress.com site, you’d need to be on our Business or eCommerce plan to install the plugins required for that. So whether you should upgrade immediately or wait until later really depends on what you already want to start setting up on our end now.

    You could, for example, already start importing your products from Shopify and setting up your store on our end, but only switch your domain over to us once you take the Shopify store offline.

    But if you prefer to wait and only do that later that’s also fine.
