  I just got a domain through ionos.com. Should I transfer to wordpress?

  You can transfer your domain registration to WordPress.com if you wish. Some people prefer doing that because it keeps their website bills all in one place. Here are instructions for transferring:

  https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  But you also do not have to transfer registration to us. If you prefer to keep using your existing registrar, you can map that domain to your WordPress.com site by using these instructions:
