Domain Transfer Question/Problem

    Hi, I recently began blogging with wordpress and imported a previous blog I had started from blogspot. At that point, I was blogging under the domain name michaelknowlton.wordpress.com. I also own the domain name michael-knowlton.com. I then paid the $12 domain mapping fee so that my blog would instead be michael-knowlton.com rather than michaelknowlton.wordpress.com. I have changed the DNS to

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    After that point, I then went to store -> domain and clicked the box next to michael-knowlton.com. At that point I clicked on the box “Updated Primary Domain”.

    However, the trouble I am experiencing is that now when I go to http://www.michael-knowlton.com it still brings me to my old website. In addition, when I type in http://www.michaelknowlton.wordpress.com the site is automatically re-directed to michael-knowlton.com (Which is what I wanted) but the website it takes me to is my old website, not my blog. Can you offer some assistance to how I should go about correcting this?

    My goal is to type in michael-knowlton.com and go to my wordpress site. (Just without the .wordpress on the end). Instead, right now, when I type in michael-knowlton.com it continues to go to my old site, where I really just wanted to change the name of my wordpress site to michael-knowlton.com.

    I apologize if I’ve made a mess, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    http://michael-knowlton.com/ appears to be working properly.

    It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.
