Domain transfer refund

    Hi there,
    I am trying to cancel my subscription as I need to move to wordpress.org for additional features. When I requested the refund I was only refunded $6, but I paid $24.

    It says that the remaining $18 were for domain registration but I already owned the domain, it was just transferred – a process which it said was free to transfer.

    Anyway, I would just like a full refund please??

    Many thanks for reaching out.

    I see the domain is currently not yet transferred to WordPress.com.

    Can you check with the domain registrar if this transfer is at a point whereby it can be cancelled at their end please.

    Domain transfers are subject to a transfer fee, domain connections are free with a plan, to which I see both on the purchase (only one would be required if you’re looking for WordPress.com to be domain registrar).

    Also, just to check, if you’re using self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org), you wouldn’t really need to transfer the domain over to WordPress.com.
