domain transffeing

Hello, I bought a domain on the squarespace.com website. I have been trying to transfer it to you for hours without success.
Despite paying for the transfer to you, I see that there is an error.
Is there a way to explain this to me?

Here is the full domain I purchased:
    avshalombiton.com

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience you’ve faced. The challenge you’re encountering arises from ICANN regulations. When a domain is newly registered, it undergoes a 60-day lock period, during which transfers to a different registrar aren’t allowed.

    Here’s a way forward:

Firstly, you might consider contacting Squarespace Support. It would be beneficial to ask them if there’s any way to remove the transfer lock earlier, even if it’s a standard due to regulations.

If you find that the lock can’t be removed immediately, don’t worry. You can still use your domain with your WordPress.com site by connecting it. To do this, you’d need to follow the instructions in our domain connection guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/. However, it’s worth noting that in order to connect a domain to WordPress.com, an upgrade to one of our plans is necessary.

If you could share more about your site and its requirements, I’d be happy to recommend a suitable plan for you. You can also explore our range of plans at https://wordpress.com/pricing/ to see which might be a good fit.

Lastly, remember that after the 60-day lock concludes, you’ll be free to transfer your domain to WordPress.com.

Feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns. We’re here to help.
