Domain upgrade

When I go to by site using my domain (and not the wordpress one), I get the following message:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
What do I need to do?

Hi there,
Is this in reference to checkingthetide.com? You are getting that message because the nameservers are still pointing to WordPress.com even though the domain is no longer mapped to a WordPress.com site.
To change your nameservers, you’ll need to log into your domain host and update them there.

And yes, this is in reference to checkingthetide.com. My domain host is GoDaddy, but they said the domain servers are managed with WordPress. Does this have anything to do with the fact that I used to have a paid WordPress account that has lapsed? I reached out to GoDaddy and they said the domain name servers are managed with WordPress and mapped to WordPress.

Oh, okay – I was about to say. :)
DNS settings are managed by the place that is hosting the domain, and in this case that is Go Daddy – so I was going to be surprised if they stated otherwise.

I just did a chat with them and they said that the issue was with WordPress. I’m so confused at this point. When I log into GoDaddy, the name servers point to WordPress. The WordPress site is the only place I had ever used the domain.

Holy all the expletives. I think I just resolved the issue. I just had to change my GoDaddy name servers back to the default…I will keep you posted. And thank you for your comments. You’ve been more helpful than you know!
