  I have an wordpress.com account and would like to upgrade to an .com What should I do? And how much does it cost per year?

  You can either register a new .com domain ($18 or $26/yr. with privacy option) or map an existing domain ($13/yr.) that you purchased somewhere else. More details can be found here:
