Domain upgrade and transfer confusion

  I have been trying to transfer this account for days. I called Godaddy this morning and told them you have refused to give the proper instruction on how to accomplish that. Godaddy said my account has officially expired. Now I am forced to renew the domain actxiom.com with you. Thanks alot. I went to your site. I was given a choice of renewing for $99.00 per year or 0.00 per year. I chose the 0.00 per year. But now I see that the second choice was not valid and that I have to pay the $99.00. How do you stay in business committed acts like this?

  Hi there,

  I’m very sorry for the difficulty you had transferring your domain name to GoDaddy. I see that you had a WordPress.com Premium upgrade with your domain name linked to that — that’s why the renewal was $99. I went ahead and removed the Premium upgrade, so you can renew just the domain name ($18/year) on your My Upgrades page here:

  https://actxiom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades

  You can then finish transferring the domain name with this guide: Transfer a domain to another registrar

  I renewed and am happy now. Sort of. I think your system of renewal needs some help.
