Domain uses WordPress.com nameservers but is missing from my WP account

My domain aureliesgallery.com is registered at GoDaddy.

In my GoDaddy account, the domain currently shows these custom nameservers:

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

GoDaddy therefore reports WordPress.com as the DNS provider.

However, aureliesgallery.com does not appear under Domains or Manage All Domains in my WordPress.com account. Only the old aureliesgallery.wordpress.com site appears.

The WordPress.com Support Assistant also gave me conflicting information, saying its Site Profiler sees ns49.domaincontrol.com and ns50.domaincontrol.com.

The domain currently powers a live Shopify website and business email, so please do not change any DNS records or nameservers.

I need WordPress.com staff to help determine:

    1. Whether WordPress.com currently holds a DNS zone for aureliesgallery.com.
    2. Whether that zone is associated with another WordPress.com account or an old domain connection.
    3. How I can regain access to view the existing DNS zone.
    4. Why GoDaddy currently shows WordPress.com nameservers while WordPress.com’s Site Profiler reports GoDaddy nameservers.

My immediate objective is only to inspect the existing DNS records safely, particularly MX, TXT, A and CNAME records, without disrupting the live Shopify website or business email.

    Hi there!

    Thanks for reaching out :)

I took a look into your account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)), and it looks like aureliesgallery.com was previously connected to WordPress.com, but that domain connection ended on January 31, 2026.

Currently, the domain is registered with and pointing to GoDaddy, which is why it’s no longer showing up under your WordPress.com account dashboard or holding an active DNS zone here.

Since your live Shopify site and business email are active through GoDaddy, you can safely view and manage all of your active DNS records (including MX, TXT, A, and CNAME) directly inside your GoDaddy DNS settings without making any changes to your site.
