Domain verification code invalid

My domain name has expired. I tried moving it to my new provider before this happened but when finally got somewhere the verification code for it is being flagged as invalid. I have no way of getting a new one as the domain is expired and I seem unable to find a way to contact my registrar as I got the domain via wordpress and not directly with them (wild west domains). What would be the next logical step?

the website in question is expired
That is why the transfer code won’t work. When the domain expired you stopped owning it, and you cannot transfer a domain that you don’t own.
The domain, omar-zajtai.com, expired on 17 February and has since been removed from our system. It is currently in redemption with our registrar.
The only way you’ll be able to transfer that domain is if you first recover it from redemption and renew it. Our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption, so I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the process started.

You might be able to register the domain somewhere else once it passes through the redemption period and is released in a few weeks. This is dependent on no one else registering the domain when it is released, so just keep that in mind.
