Domain was stolen

    I bought my domain through you years ago. I’ve been paying my subscriptions. I called Wild West Domains and they cannot help me. Now all of my content is GONE. DECADES OF WRITING.

    Please help me.

    Hi @lisamooncat, for sites hosted here, usually your domain will be separate from the content; you would just need to re-add a plan and add your domain again if it’s available, or a different domain if it’s not.

    If you hosted somewhere else, though, you’ll want to contact that host about retrieving your site’s data.

    Do you know whether the site you’re referring to was hosted here with us, or whether you used a copy of WordPress with another host?

    The site was hosted by Bluehost.

    They confirmed they do not keep backups more than 30 days.

    I have already purchased a new domain and am working to build something new.

    The problem in the first place was that the billing email was a super old email and I didn’t get the notifications. Can you help me get billing notifications sent to my new email please?

    Just to confirm, were you missing billing emails from Bluehost? We wouldn’t be connected to them, but you can keep your billing email address updated here:
    https://wordpress.com/me/account

    If you buy upgrades with this account, our reminder emails will go to that address. And if you change it (and confirm the changes), we’ll send to the new address instead.
