Domain with wordpress, does wordpress host the site?

  If you just have a domain with one of your free themes, who is hosting the site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Any site here at WordPress.com is hosted by WordPress.com. We are also currently the registrar for your domain.

  So why do you advertise outside of wordpress for hosting, or is wordpress not as big? or is it you can reach more people at other hosting sites, you know what I mean?

  Hi there,

  You can use the free WordPress software from WordPress.org to set up a WordPress site on a different host, but as Shawna mentioned, any site at WordPress.com is hosted by WordPress.com. You can learn a little more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org
