  Please, I own a domain on Aruba server. The name is http://www.pentaeditore.it I want to work it with WordPress and II’ve installed WP on aruba server, all ok. Now I need to know how I could mantain the name of domain. I need a mapping? What have I to shop in WordPress? Thanks and sorry bad english…

  I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, http://www.pentaeditore.it is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/

  If you want http://www.pentaeditore.it to point to a WordPress.com site, then yes, you will need to purchase Domain Mapping.

  Thanks again. But I’ve read in italian support forum that there are problems with domain .it and I didn’t found any answer. So I continue searching…

  Help! Here I am again… Well, I purchase the premium kit and I started. I modified the .htaccess file as Aruba.it staff told me. But now, it seems the mapping is ok but the work I do in the backoffice do WordPress doesn’t appears neither in http://www.pentaeditore.it neither in alepenta.wordpress.com
  What a big mistake am I doin’?!!!

  It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/?host=pentaeditore.it

  Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
