Hello,
My family business currently has a wordpress site (baxterandbeasley.com). It was designed about 5 years ago for us by a company in California. Now, we’d like to completely overhaul the site (changing the layout and design template), but I want to know how I can go about doing that. Should I start from scratch and then have the domain name transferred over? Or do I do it to our existing site?? I’m so lost haha. Thanks in advance for your help!!

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, and if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
