  Is it possible to buy a domain without purchasing a plan?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there,

  You can no longer register or map a domain individually with WordPress.com. Moving forward, domain subscriptions can be purchased as a part of one of our many plans here.

  No it is not. You will need a personal plan to register a domain on WordPress.com. Otherwise, you can use a free site address and there’s no charge for that.
