  Is it better to transfer the domain I own or map it?

  Hi there,

  Because either solution will work to give your WordPress.com site a custom address, there is not technically a right or wrong answer here, so it kind depends on your situation.

  Here’s my guidance but if you can share more info about your situation we’re happy to take a closer look.

  • Your Business plan includes a free domain transfer, as well as one free year of registration (once it is on your account with us) so there is a decent opportunity to save on your costs if you transfer the domain instead of mapping
  • If this is your only domain, it makes sense to transfer it to us so that you only have to pay for your renewals in one place, and not remember that you need to renew here and also at Go Get Canada Domains
  • If you manage multiple domains at Go Get Canada (and anxietycarecentre.ca is just one of them) I think it makes sense to map your domain and not transfer.
    Since you have other domains it makes sense to manage them all in one place
