  If I purchase a domain name from another company can I still use my original word press site? Is this hard to change?

  You can purchase a domain elsewhere and map it to your WordPress.com blog. These instructions should come in handy:

  Otherwise, you’re welcome to register your new domain name through us! :-)

  Just enter the domain name you want under Store -> Domains in your blog’s dashboard.
